33 YEAR OLD woman of Lusaka has died after her vehicle lost control due to excessive speed

A 33 YEAR OLD woman of Lusaka has died after her vehicle lost control due to excessive speed and hit into a wall fence and later plunged into a drainage.

Police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said the accident occurred today around 03:20 hours on Los Angeles road near Lusaka Club opposite Saturnia House.

Mr Hamoonga said the deceased has been identified as Faith Mukeyo 33 of Woodlands who sustained multiple injuries and died on the spot.

He said Ms Mukeyo was driving a Toyota Rav 4 registration number ABR 4499 which was extensively damaged.

Mr Hamoonga said on board was a passenger identified as Mazuba Hankuku aged 41 of plot number 24388 Libala South who sustained a swollen left eye and neck, dislocated right hand,cuts on both hands and general body pains.

He said Mr Hankuku is admitted to UTH.

“The Accident occurred when the driver who was moving from the direction of West to East, lost control of the motor vehicle due to excessive speed and went on to hit into the wall fence and later plunged into a drainage,” he said.
