COLLEGE STUDENT IN COURT FOR ALLEGEDLY DEFILING 4 YEAR OLD GIRL AFTER PROMISING KA COIN

A four-year-old girl has testified before the Choma Magistrate Court how a 22-year-old male student from St Mawaggali Trades Training Institute had s3x with her, after promising to give her a coin.

This is in a matter in which Kelvin Milandu of Overspill Compound stands charged with one count of Defilement on a Child, contrary to the Laws of Zambia.

Particulars are that on 15th February, 2023, the accused person allegedly had unlawful carnal knowledge of a girl under the age of 16.

Testifying before Magistrate Ethel Phiri, the victim said the accused called her after she parted ways with her friends, took off her underwear and had s3x with her outside his house.

She says she cried during the act due to the pain, but later managed to walk home without the promised coin, and informed her mother of what had happened.

When asked to point at the person who allegedly defiled her in court, the victim pointed at the accused person who was seated in the accused dock.

And the grandmother to the victim told the court that the accused person admitted to taking off the victim’s underwear but refuted having had canal knowledge of her.

Phiri has since adjourned the matter to the 20th of April 2023 for the continuation of trial, while the accused person is on bail.
