8 Croatians re-arrested

The eight Croatians who were discharged on charges of attempted child trafficking and given 48 hours to leave the country have been re-arrested.

Both their lawyer Kelvin Silwimba from the Legal Aid Board and Department of Immigration spokesperson Namati Nshinka confirmed in interviews yesterday.

However, by press time, they were yet to be charged.

“I can confirm that the eight Croatians have been re-arrested. We
received instructions from National Prosecutions Authority (NPA) to re-arrest them.
