Dr Tasila Tembo’s Murder Trial Has Commenced In The Lusaka High Court

The case involving the murder of Dr. Tasila Tembo has started in the Lusaka High Court with the deceased’s brother, Lonjezo, testifying that Lieutenant Nigel Mwaba who is the prime suspect was seen to be insecure and jealous from the time and the accused stopped living together months before she was killed.
Lonjezo added that when he was with Dr. Tembo in Kasama, Northern Province, Nigel would call her to find out what she was doing and with whom she was associating.
During this time Nigel who is a Zambia Army officer was living in Lusaka’s Meanwood area at Dr Tembo’s house with her children, maid and mother.Dr. Tembo was in Kasama where she had found a Job.
The witness also told the court that at one point Nigel travelled unexpected to the deceased’s house in Kasama.The defense will cross examine the witness on Thursday April 29.
Other witnesses that testified include the deceased’s maid Mercy Himboko, Chief Detective Zicheleke Lukhele, an ICT Technician, Brian Ziyakaka and an IT engineer Chali Mukuka.
In this matter lieutenant Nigel Mwaba is accused of murdering his girlfriend Dr. Tasila Tembo on October 24, 2020.
