Government Allows Churches To Continue Congregating In Classrooms
Government has allowed all churches to begin conducting their church services in school classrooms.
Recently, Vice President Inonge Wina directed that all churches conducting their services in school classrooms should stop.
National Guidance and Religious Affairs Minister, Reverend Godfridah Sumaili says her Ministry engaged other Ministries such as Health, Education, Higher Education, and Local government who resolved to allow Churches to worship from School Classrooms on account that they adhere to the Health regulations.
Speaking at a joint briefing with the Minister of General Education, Rev. Sumaili has since encouraged the Churches to have agreements with the schools and ensure they adhere to the established guidelines put in place by the Ministry of Health.
