Lusaka province Minister Bwoman Lusambo says he owes no one an explanation for naming his newly born twins after President Edger Chagwa Lungu and First Lady Esther Lungu.
Mr Lusambo says this is because President Edgar Lungu is like a father to him.
He said in the Zambian culture, most children are named after their grandparents and other relatives, and he considers President Lungu his father.
“I was named Bowman by my father and he had his reasons, just like I have reasons to name my newly born twins
Mr Lusambo welcomed his set of twins on Sunday and he could not hide his joy as photos were all over social media of him going to the hospital with a big flower arrangement for his wife and gazing at the babies with excitement.
The Ministers post was received with mixed feelings and politicised as many trolled him for naming his twins after the Head of State and First Lady saying he did it to gain favors from the president.
