Man accused of stealing Chikanda collapses after one slap

𝗠𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗸𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗽𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗽

The man lying on the ground collapsed after one slap upon being identified as the suspect that ran away with bags of raw chikanda at Nakonde Main Bus Station.

Moses Silwamba, the man who slapped him told Chete FM news that the unidentified suspect returned to the bus station after two months.

It’s alleged that he stole the commodity which was bound for Nakonde from Shiwang’andu when he claimed to be the recipient.

Mr Silwamba says the suspect collapsed in an apparent attempt to feign his death and eventually hope to be spared but will face the police.

For those who may not know, Chikanda is a Zambian dish made from the boiled root tubers of terrestrial orchids also called chikanda.

The dish is often called “African polony” because it has a texture that resembles bologna.
