A man in his early 40’s is stranded in the cold corridors of Choma’s Central Business District with his wife and four children aged between 1 and 9.
Byta FM’s Nandi Nthani found Dominic Sikapola and his family in Choma town Friday around 22:00hrs, who says he resigned from a security company in Livingstone.
Sikapola’s household items were scattered near ABSA Bank and he reveals that he decided to resign because the company was not paying him.
He says his resignation has since forced him to relocate and he is planning to proceed to Maamba where he comes from.
Sikapola reveals that he left Livingstone around 16:00hrs on a truck that was passing through Choma after he negotiated for a free ride, only to camp in the streets of Choma town.
He says was forced to spend a night on the streets because he could not proceed to Maamba.
Sikapola reveals that he intends to leave his family in Maamba in a pursuit to find employment.
Meanwhile, his wife Sandra Sikapola hopes she could equally find employment in order to support her four children.
