Parts Of Bombay Drainage Walls Collapse Due To Heavy Rains

SOME parts of Bombay drainage in Lusaka’s Chilulu area has collapsed after a heavy downpour that affected most parts of Zambia’s capital city.
Area councilor Adrian Banda confirmed the development yesterday.

He observed that some members of the community have also contributed to the collapsing of the drainage walls as they have turned it into a sock-away and a dumping site for garbage.
Meanwhile, several houses have been submerged in Chilulu due to heavy rains.
Banda, who visited the affected households, has since assured them that they will be assisted as soon as the matter is taken to Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit.
