By Chileshe Mwango
Police in Kabwe have arrested about 274 suspected criminals in a two days operation conducted in Kabwe town.
Central Province Deputy Commissioner of police Donald Mwandila has told phoenix news that the arrests follow the recent reported criminal activities in the district where innocent people were harassed and properties stolen from them as well as the high number of house break-ins.
Mr. Mwandila explains that in the first operation that happened on Wednesday, police managed to apprehend 246 suspects while yesterday, 28 more were picked up.
He says majority of the arrests happened in Makululu and Nakoli with a few in the central business district and other townships.
The Provincial Deputy Commissioner of police vowed that the police command in the province will not rest until they end every form of criminality.
