Police Warn Swindlers And Fake Informers

Zambia Police Service has warned individuals who are in the habit of swindling people and spreading false information that their days are numbered as police will not rest until they pay for their criminal behaviour.

In a statement, Deputy Police Public Relations Officer Danny Mwale has cautioned members of the public against falling prey to unscrupulous individuals purporting to be police recruitment officers who are calling unsuspecting people to report for training to police training schools.

Mr Mwale has since advised the general public that the list of candidates earmarked to undergo police training has not yet been availed to the public.”Police will publish the names of successful candidates in the print media as well as all provincial centres,” He stated.

He said one person from Mporokoso reported to one of the police training schools yesterday after receiving a call from unknown person who claimed to be a police recruitment officer
