RDAZ On Go-Slow Demand The Release Of Their Colleagues

The Resident Doctors Association of Zambia-RDAZ- go-slow has entered Day 4 with the Doctors continuing with their demands, which include employment of the unemployed doctors, payment of salary arrears and settling in allowances.

They are also demanding promotion of Doctors who are still receiving salaries of junior doctors.The Doctors are further demanding for the reinstatement of RDAZ President Dr. Brian Sampa’s practicing license, which has been withdrawn by Health Professions Council of Zambia and the release of Association General Secretary, Dr. Mukula Chikonde who was arrested on the Copperbelt on Sunday.

Meanwhile, police have continued to keep vigil of the Doctors’ go-slow at the doctor’s quarters within the University Teaching Hospital premises.
