THE tragedy of last week’s car accident involving the Kabwata Member of Parliament Levy Mkandawire who was bashed outside his home has taken a new twist which adds more mystery and pain to what really happened during the accident.
Police have disclosed that actually the accident was caused by Jetta Kalengo aged 56, and not Jane Mwale, the woman who was accused of causing the accident.
In a statement statement issued by police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga, Ms Mwale the wife to Alick Jetta Kalengo handed herself to the Police and after interrogations it was discovered that the husband is the one who was driving the BMW X5 registration number ALM 5955.
Mr Hamoonga said Mr Kalengo also confessed that he was the one who was driving the motor vehicle at the time of the accident.
