Thieves Arrested For Breaking Into Trade Kings Vehicle and Stealing K98,000

TWO (02) Zimbabwean nationals and one Zambian have been arrested by police for breaking into a Trade Kings car and stealing cash amounting to K98, 000.

And police have recovered K84, 000 out of the total stolen money and are further still looking for one more suspect who is still on the run.

Police around 11:30 hrs received a report of theft from motor a vehicle from Trade Kings Muchinga, Luapula and Northern regional manager Abbas Hussain aged 46yrs.

“He reported on behalf of the company that unknown persons did steal cash money from the company’s motor vehicle namely Toyota hilux bearing registration no. ALZ 3825 silver in color which was parked at indo Zambia bank along Independence road d/kasama by way of unlocking the drivers door and got away k98,025,” Hussain reported to police.

Acting on the report, the police made a follow up and found the criminals at Mwiluzi along Mbala-Kasama road where they had parked their Honda CRV registration No. ALP 2712 silver gray in color as they were changing a the front tyre.

Upon being challenged, the criminals ran in different direction and in the process, one suspect named Ndlovu Basil Bhekumuzi aged 40yrs of Bulawayo a Zimbabwean national was shot at in his left side of the thigh.

The two other suspects namely Soames Ndlovu aged 32yrs of 133 Matero East Lusaka also a Zimbabwean national based in Bulawayo and Silvester Phiri aged 38yrs of Matero Lusaka were apprehended.

“The suspect who was shot is receiving Medical treatment at kasama General Hospital whilst one suspect namely Amin (Mr Moyo) is on the run,”
