Ultimate Insurance directors arrested for theft of a motor vehicle

THRRE people have been arrested and charged with the offence of Fraudulent dealing and Theft of a motor vehicle.

Police spokesperson Esther Katongo said the suspects have been identified as, Tobias Milambo, Nachi Musonda and Richard Lubemba.

Mrs Katongo said the incident is reported to have occurred in June, last year at Ultimate Insurance Company Limited in Lusaka

She said Milambo, Musonda and Lubemba jointly and whilst acting together fraudulently disposed off a motor vehicle, a Ford Ranger, registration number BAF 9826 ZM with intent to defraud.

Mrs Katongo said the three purported that the board of directors for Ultimate Insurance Company Limited lawfully disposed off the motor vehicle when in fact not.

“It is further alleged that the motor vehicle in question was stolen from Ultimate Insurance Company Limited and ownership of the said motor vehicle was changed from Ultimate Insurance Company Limited to Musonda,” Mrs Katongo said.

She said the suspects have been released on police bond and will appear in Court soon.
