Unknown Tanzanian Man Murdered In Nakonde

A man in his 30s of Nakonde District in Muchinga Province has been murdered by unknown people and his body hidden in a sack.
The body was found by passersby in Maloni village, Chief Waitwika on Sunday 9th January 2022 around 06 hours.
Muchinga Police Deputy Commissioner, Lucky Munkondya Buumba says passersby going to the field found the body in a white sack who later informed Charles Sichone a Community Crime Prevention Unit (CCPU) member based who reported the matter at Nakonde Police Station.
He says police visited the scene of crime where they found the body in a white sack tied with polythene ropes.
Mr. Buumba says upon untying the sack, the body was found with deep cuts on the neck and face, tied hands behind the back, and the legs were equally tied, one TECNO cell phone purple blue in colour was also found in the sack.
The deceased believed to be a Tanzanian national was found wearing black snickers, a hat, red t-shirt and a grey -sweat shirt.
Mr. Buumba confirmed the incident to Diamond News stating that the body has been deposited at Nakonde urban mortuary awaiting identification.
